The President of the Republic, Mr. Ismail Omar Guelleh, has received this Sunday a delegation of Jordanian businessmen led by Dr. Bassit Al Omar Jamal, executive director of the Regional Petroleum Products Corporation, a multinational corporation based in Saudi Arabia, which has plans to build a refinery in Doraleh.
Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, attended the talks.
In an interview with the press, Mr. Al Bassit said that his company intends to start next month the construction of the refinery at the site of Doraleh.
He thanked the Head of State for his support to the achievement of this project, which he said should contribute to the country's development.

The promoter also indicated that the production unit whose achievement amounted to more than 150 million US dollars, is expected to eventually produce around 40,000 barrels of oil per day, to refuel not only Djibouti, but also the countries of the region
